Sam King
Head of XfE
Sam joined the team in 2013 and is passionate about saving schools time and money. He is a full ACCA member and heads up the XfE Team. As a huge cloud enthusiast you will find Sam always looking for ways in which schools can operate much more streamlined with the use of cloud technology.
Evan leads onboarding and is responsible for delivering a smooth transition for schools making the move to XfE, he’s always on hand to offer advice and guidance through set up and is an expert on all of the systems we use. You’ll often find Evan researching new features to add/use within our ecosystem.
Connor is an AAT qualified accountant with a passion for innovation and the cloud. He assists clients as they make the move to XfE, and heads up our support team ensuring that clients are supported with initial migration and day-to-day queries. Connor is always on hand to offer additional support when needed.
Jack Crowther joined us in October 2024 as a Project Manager for Xero for Education (XfE). He holds an MPhys in Physics with Professional and Research Placements (First Class) and brings expertise in process improvement, software development, data analytics, and project management. Jack is passionate about growing the XfE business and looks forward to expanding his knowledge of finance and accountancy, while driving new developments within the department.

Our Story
XfE was developed through our work as Academy Auditors with our sister company Thorne Widgery and designed in partnership with leading software provider Xero.
We understood the challenges that schools faced when handling their finances and recognised the need for a user-friendly, cloud based and cost-effective system that would allow schools and academies to take control of their finances... and XfE was born!
